We invite you to read our Mission, Vision & Values Statement.

Business courses in Australia receive National Accreditation which means that all institutions must deliver approved course content to be awarded a Nationally Accredited qualification. Our point of difference from other business courses is the manner in which we facilitate the learning: additional skills and knowledge and attitudinal coaching are woven into the core curricula of each course.

TAAB offers a range of Business, Business Administration, Management and Financial Services courses geared towards employment. A University Pathway is easy with TAAB: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma Business courses are streamlined for Uni entry.

Life-long learning

We provide a partnership with our students that can last a lifetime. Our training and education is nationally accredited and thus provides for articulation from Certificates to Diplomas to Advanced Diplomas, and on to University under the Australian Qualifications Training framework. Through our various strategic alliances your education and training throughout your entire career is not limited to any particular geographical region. We see this as an important capacity for individuals who wish to explore a future from remote and regional areas.

Recognition of prior learning

TAAB recognises prior learning or current competencies and provides direct credits and assistance with applying for recognition of prior learning, where relevant.

Student Support Services

TAAB has established student support services to ensure that all aspects of the students’ educational life are supported when and if required. Some of the services are: Language, literacy and numeracy assistance • Pastoral care and Counselling • Academic study support • Safety and security

Business Courses With Real Flexibility

Our business courses are crafted to be learner centred. This means that courses are tailored to suit your learning style. Our course facilitators practice accelerated training techniques that enable the students who wish to push ahead to achieve the qualification in what might be a third of the time taken by other students.

TAAB Executive team, trainers and assessors have a unique transition process that identifies each student’s inherent capacity. This process enables the design of an individual career progression plan, which leads to the development of that individual to their fullest potential. In each course, TAAB provide a boutique learning environment by restricting each class size to no more than 10 students.

Audit information

Audit Information

The Australian Academy of Business Pty Ltd AQTF compliance audit was conducted 25/11/2011.
The following qualifications were audited:

•   BSB30107   Certificate III in Business

•   BSB30407   Certificate III in Business Administration

•   BSB40207   Certificate IV in Business

•   FNS30110   Certificate III in Financial Service

At the time of the audit the following rectifications were required:

•   The organisation is requested to provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate criteria defining acceptable performance are outlined for all instruments and clear information about assessment requirements are provided for students; supervisors; third parties and assessors. In particular, the organisation is requested to provide amended observation checklists sufficiently interpreting the unit requirements into workplace based tasks. The task(s) the student must complete is to be defined or sufficient instructions included for the supervisor/third party/assessor to record the tasks observed. Further, the tasks are to be supported by information regarding the expected level of performance to ensure consistency of assessment decisions across a range of learners and assessors.

Further, the organisation is requested to provide evidence to demonstrate it has reviewed ”all related materials and processes following the audit to determine whether similar improvements are needed in other areas”.

In its review and amendment of assessment tools, the organisation is again referred to the department’s clarifying statement regarding employer contribution to assessment decisions which states that “it is the role of the RTO to communicate to workplace supervisors the expectations of the range of tasks and the performance level expected, in terminology appropriate to the workplace. It is not acceptable to require employers, apprentices or trainees to ‘unpack’ or interpret training package components in order to determine workplace performance requirements”.

11/01/2012 – The organisation provided amended observation checklists which sufficiently interpret the unit requirements into the workplace based tasks, complete with criteria defining acceptable performance and clear information about assessment requirements which addresses non-compliance identified at audit. It is noted that the use of the revised checklists facilitates consistency of assessment decisions across a range of learners and assessors.

•   The organisation is requested to provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate before clients enrol or enter into an agreement, it accurately informs them about the training and assessment services to be provided. Specifically, the organisation is requested to provide evidence it has clearly articulated on the website the qualifications the organisation is approved to deliver and assess and the qualifications it delivers/assesses for the partner organisation. Further, the information should clearly articulate the organisation the student will be enrolling and who will issue the qualification.

11/01/2012 – The organisation provided a letter outlining their intention as an RTO that they have a clear understanding of all marketing material requirements in particular with partnering arrangements

•  The organisation is requested to provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate its management systems are focused on providing quality training and assessment services that will be consistently implemented across all of the organisation’s operations and systematically monitored and improved. Specifically, the organisation is requested to provide evidence to demonstrate it has systematically reviewed all related materials and processes following this audit to determine whether similar improvements are needed in other areas. Where the organisation has identified similar improvements are needed, it is requested to provide evidence to demonstrate how it will consistently implement the improvements across all of its operations.

11/01/2012 – The organisation provided a spreadsheet outlining:
•  The assessment method, third party report and trainer matrix (management system) which demonstrated its management systems are focused on providing quality training and assessment services and that it will be consistently implemented across all the organisation’s operations and systematically monitored and improved

•  Evidence to demonstrate the organisation has systematically reviewed all related materials and processes and that it will consistently implement the improvements across all of its operations
